How to log in Kubuntu using root .

Hi All,

The site now is of new face, and this, gives will to me to come back to write again.

To log as root in the Kubuntu, Ubuntu and others * untu, we can proceed from the following form:

1) Define password of root with the command:

$ sudo passwd root

It must ask for you to type the passwords 2 times.

Made this, is defined the password of root.

But as to log with root in the KDE? Simple!

Simple, he uses its favourite publisher of texts, and edits the archive kdmrc, that he must be inside of /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc. There we must look for for the following line:

AllowRootLogin=false

and to modify stops it:

AllowRootLogin=true

Then, you can restart the session, and now log as root.

If exactly thus not to function, restarts the machine, and makes login again.

I wait that I have helped.

Bye !
